Integrity Fort Worth becomes a full-fledged chapter in 2008! Read more here.

Integrity Fort Worth was born out of a need for inclusion of rights for LGBT persons in the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth.

Original members, both straight and gay/lesbian, were deeply bothered at the attitude toward the GLBT Episcopalians by most clergy and the bishop of the diocese.

One of the chapters first leaders, Barbi Click (who is now the Vice-President of the South-Central Region of Integrity) comments that this need for Integrity in the Episcopal Diocese of Fort Worth is "one of oppression and constant struggle to find a way into this church -- to seek a way to be included."

The chapter has had many struggles in the beginning. Today, however, with renewal in 2007, changes have occurred which have allowed for growth in many areas. As we look forward to continued growth, we welcome the day when full inclusion of GLBT persons in the diocese and denomination are a common factor.
